MeowStack #8: Stop, drop, nap — life lessons from Tigerlily and Heihei
Watch your ankles and your dinner!

What is your name, and why are you the most magnificent creature in the universe?
I'm Tigerlily, and my big brother is Heihei. I bring the mischief and mayhem. He's the serious one. He likes to notice what's up with everyone and worry about them and follow them around. But I reckon life's too short for that. Much better to liven up the party with some comedy skits and gifts.
How did you choose your human to be your supplicant?
I showed up when they were going through a sad time and clearly needed a spark of joy and craziness in the household. I was only 9 weeks old and irresistibly cute (obviously). My big bro was pretty upset by my arrival and almost moved out of home for a few months in protest, but I eventually won him around by chasing him relentlessly. No one can resist my charms for long.

What is the most amusing way you confound your human?
Even though I'm 10 years old now, I'm still a master ankle-biter, and I don't mind the odd nibble on an unsuspecting wrist when I'm being cuddled. Anything that moves really. My humans just love the element of surprise and being kept on their toes. I've also mastered the art of the wide-eyed, how-can-you-refuse-me, begging face. My specialty is hopping up on the dining table and trying to steal from their dinner plates. Dinnertime would be super boring without me.

By what means will you inevitably achieve world domination?
Unstoppable energy and refusing to ever grow up. My manifesto is: Life's too short to be serious, rules were made to be broken, and cuteness helps you get away with murder. 😸

What else does the world need to know about you?
I've been a bit poorly recently, but I haven't let it slow me down at all. Life is a playground. Oh, and you'll find me snoozing in the most unexpected places — stop, drop, and nap, anytime any place.

Tigerlily and Heihei’s human is Dr Vicki Connop, author of The Therapy Room.
The photo of the cat asleep on the book was my favorite! Good thing they wear collars to tell them apart!
"stop, drop, and nap, anytime any place."
I think this needs to become my new mantra!
